Did you know about Ptosis Crutches?

To my surprise, I recently discovered that some people think that using “ptosis crutches” is a viable alternative to ptosis surgery. I understand the idea of saving money, I understand the idea that this is safe and non-intrusive. I’ll let you be the judge in a minute in regards to these ptosis crtuches.

I think that a tape system of some sort would be a lot more efficient than this. Ptosis crutches are little pieces of plastic or metal that hang onto the rim of your eye-glassess. The shape is a bit like a “J” and the device essentially goes “into your eye socket” and you let your droopy eyelid sort of “plop” on top of it.

I gathered some places and stuff showing you how it works and really I’m interested in hearing what you think about these. They tend to be used for droopy eyelids due to age more than other types of ptosis. Would you wear these, do you think they work? If you use them now, tell us your thoughts about them on the comments below.

Here’s a video of a company named World Optics that seems to fit ptosis crutches into various types of eye-wear. So you can use ptosis crutches but remain stylish.
