Jess Living with Ptosis

A narrative video blog by Jess. She tells you about growing up with Ptosis. She had her first surgery around 10 years old. She describes how she remembers the surgery, consultation, before and after. Jess describes her experiences with other kids in school and how people perceived and treated her growing up with Ptosis.

I find it interesting that it is only when someone tells her to “hide” with make-up that she becomes aware and conscious of her condition. She talks about how she was very self-conscious of her condition, even though it is not very prominent.

Jess really opens up about how she feels and how she is aware and how she deals with this. She’s discovered how to conceal it, but she seems to struggle with the reality of having this condition. I hope she gets a little more confidence as she continues her journey through life.
